Canon Lenses On Red
What are some recommendations on a mid-range telephoto zoom lens for a Canon Rebel XT?

I am looking for my first update 18-55mm zoom lens that comes with my XT. Here are some of the models I have investigated, which would be better? Any red flags? EF 55-200 f/4.5-5.6 USM EF 28-200, 3.5-5.6 USM-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM EF 100 (280) EF 28-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS A purpose of the Tamrons as: Tamron AF 18-200 mm F3.5 – F6.3 Di-II Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di Macro LD Finally, what is the society of technology worth the extra money? And are the lenses that are in the range of 300 mm for an amateur unnecessary and inaccurate in this range Price?

IS is good if you are really picky with you in the picture. siutations low light, where you have a shutter speed a bit longer IS probably require reducing ghosting and any movement of the hand, especially at long zoom usefeul. 300 mm is very long, it's like you going to take a picture eye of a deer before you shoot right at 200 yards. Not really nessecary. Also if you use 300mm to shoot something at a distance, usually loses its depth neato field control. Up close, have a sharp focus on your subject and the rest will appropriatley blurred. There is a fine line as a matter of what is taking an image of, proximity, how big it is, and what part of your frame to fill. It varies from one application to another. 300mm would probably be good to have just in case. Probably not find yourself constantly cranked to 300 though. I do not suggest getting a lens of 100-300, you can not do jack squat for close-ups It is personal prefrence. Borrow a friends lens, if necessary. they shot her. yes.
