Choosing a digital camera – Overview of the three main types of digital cameras

Choosing a digital camera will be much easier when you look at each of the three types of digital cameras: the digital SLR, a compact camera (automatic) and Chambers Bridge.
This paper introduces the advantages and disadvantages of each, so you can refine your choice of type of camera you want.

Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR)

DSLR, also called "digital SLR" are expensive, and until recently, have been used almost exclusively by professional photographers. Prices have fallen for entry-level DSLR like the Canon Rebel. But Remember that when you get a digital SLR camera lenses must also use. Some cameras come with digital SLR an objective basis for starting so it will be able to start taking pictures immediately. If you want to take pictures of something far away, you can not press a button to enlarge the image, but will need a telephoto lens. They come in all sizes to meet needs different photographers. Many photographers also buy quality equipment to reduce costs.

A major advantage of SLR digital lenses that can get that lets you take a picture of a bird on top of a tree and you'll never be able to say that image the bird was so far away. And it's fast as lightning! This means that you will not miss action shots because the camera took too long to save the image once you press the trigger.

DSLR also work with accessories such as a flash point externally. Digital SLRs are great for action shots in low light situations where flash is not permitted or not available.

And because of their larger sensors, can increase the ISO to obtain photographs in places without light, but when you need high shutter speed to capture the action. With other types of cameras that can do this because they have smaller sensors and can produce images with ugly grain called digital noise. Digital noise can often be removed with the software, but with digital SLRs who have this problem again.

These days, the main disadvantage of a digital SLR is the highest price from other types of cameras.

Are you serious about photography and want to improve your skills, then a digital SLR is the camera for you. Many start with a housing and a kit lens and add more lenses over time.

Point apparatus digital cameras (also called compact cameras or automatic)

digital compact or point and shoot cameras are more popular in the Western world and for good reason. An alliance is therefore easy to transport and can take good quality images with more of a professional digital SLR expensive and a bag of lenses has a small, tight nestled in a pocket. (Pocket-sized compact digital cameras are often called sub-compact).

As mentioned earlier, the biggest advantages is their small size and powder compacts. Unlike digital SLRs generally require a small bag of photographic equipment (if you have a pair of glasses), these cameras can go almost anywhere instead.

And while you can aim and shoot with these cameras, many have a variety of modes to choose from, and in addition, some also give some manual controls such as Aperture Priority and priority to the shutter speed. If you have an optical zoom, you can also get pictures with telephoto too much!

Chambers Bridge

These digital cameras bridge the gap between compact cameras and digital SLRs. Also known as the "prosumer" (A mixture of professionals and consumers).

Almost all units are higher than the price tags deck the most commitments, but smaller than most digital SLRs, much weaker if we consider it unnecessary to add the labels Price lenses.

Bridges generally have more sensors and more megapixels than most digital compact cameras. With the cameras can increase ISO bridge in a compact, but not as high as with a digital SLR. If you do not need to take action shots in low light conditions, then it is probably not a problem for you.

Most bridges have to work with hot shoe external flash, This means that you can take better pictures indoors. Bridges also have the video mode and allow the composition of photos on the LCD. Much are super zoom. Super zoom cameras have 10x optical zoom range of 20x. Most bridges have almost or manual control for digital SLRs.

Once you decide what type of camera you want (DSLR, a bridge or compact), select a camera will be much less confusing. So, regardless of the type digital camera you take the time to learn to use the camera and you're sure to start taking great pictures.

First, read the manual and go through page by page, trying all the functions of your camera. In this way we will be comfortable with the camera. Then it is up to you. Take a photography class, join a photography club, looking through books and magazines. Copy the styles of the photographers I admire. any photograph that you want most. Maybe people, landscapes, sports, wildlife. The more you practice, the better you become.
