The Newest Digital SLR, the Rebel T3i
The EOS rebel t3i or Canon 600D is an incoming level DSLR introduced by Canon in March 2011. For those of you common with Canon’s lineup, the T3i was planned to exchange Canon’s aging T2i model. In terms of features, the T3i sits comfortably in between the T2i and the D60 model. I’ll have you all the technical specs below.
So who is this camera for? there are a few category of camera buyers that the Canon Rebel EOS is planned for and should unquestionably read this review.
* The common camera user: used to a classic point-and-click but looking for well quality photos and more options for creativity
* The buyer considering the lower end T2i or the higher end 60D but wondering if this new model has all the features they very need
* The buyer facing for an entry-level DSLR, but needs to make a point they make extraordinary value for their money
* The photographer looking for a camera that can raise and be upgraded- one providing customization of lenses, filters, and Previous features
Where the Rebel T3i differs from the Canon Rebel T2i and the 60D
The Canon EOS Rebel T2i was already a serious choice for an entry-level DSLR. Both the T2i and Rebel T3i use the same 18 megapixel sensor and digic 4 processor, both shoot at 3.7 frames per second, and both produce the same low light/high ISO performance. So what new matters did the T3i bring to the table? there are two major changes:
1. Flip-out vari-angle LCD screen. This addition is fantastic for taking at high or low angles. This swivel screen also comes in really handy on the live view when you’re doing video clips- something I have not really found with competitively priced models. It’s a serious feature, but make sure to think about what you’ll be using this camera for and ask yourself if you will really utilize it.
2. This Canon Rebel T3i can remotely ensure multiple off-screen shoots, where it’s predecessor could not.
As further as how the T3i differs from the more high-priced 60D, there is one major conflict I would point out. The T3i takes at 3.7 frames per second, versus the 60D’s 5.3 frames per second. Now for most people, this doesn’t even actually matter. The only reason I bring it up is for those photographers who do a lot of burst flashing of high speed sports. The T3i can still make the job done, but the photos may not be as extraordinary as with the 60D.
If you don’t need that, upgrading all the way to a 60D may not be needed. It shares the same Digic 4 processor as the Rebel T3i and you can make either camera with the same 18-135 lens kit. Different than that the 60 just has a few more than high end characteristics for customization.
Bottom Line On The Rebel T3i:
If you already have a T2i, the Rebel T3i may not bring sufficient new characteristics to the table to take upgrading. But if you’re looking for your first DSLR, the Rebel T3i is a complete choice. It’s got greatest image quality, and the video capabilities make it a extraordinary selection for DSLR videographers.
