What should I buy? Canon XSi with Lens Kit or XTi with 2 kit lens?

I want to move from point and shoot SLR photography, and am now agonizing over which camera / kit should I buy to start my way. I live in Japan, so the names of the cameras and the prices are a bit different but for the purpose of this post, I will use the names of U.S. and the quoted prices in U.S. dollars. The store where I bought the camera (Yamada Denki) is also having a sale when I buy it, I get a certain amount of money back in store credit to use for a future purchase. My Options today are: The new Rebel XSi with 55mm-18 kit for $ 890 I will have $ 220 value points to spend in the store. The Rebel XTi with 18-55mm lens kit for $ 798, I will have $ 200 points to spend in the store. The Rebel XTi in a kit with two lenses, lens 18-55mm and Canon EF 200 mm Tele-55, $ 998, I will receive $ 250 in points to spend in the store. Any advice at all would help! Thank you!

I'm going to be a little different and say go for the XSi, not by sight "Live", I probably never use but simply for the fact that the XSi has "time", the XTi lacks, which is a huge factor IMO … Also the kit lens for the XSi has IS (image stability) and the XTi does not. The kit lens for the XTi is a worthy goal, but not the best, due to the fact that it is relatively slow, and lack of IS makes the poor in low light conditions. Also, the XSi use the less expensive SD cards, compared to CF cards. Compare two cameras side by side in 55-200mm http://dpreview.com is relatively cheap for Canon lenses, I buy it at a later date.
