Wide-fisheye effect used for?
I have a Canon 400D for Christmas and also comes with multiple lenses. One is a large lens 0.45X Digital 58mm with macro. (This is what it says on the lens) I thought the range lenses were the same as fish-eye? That same effect? Not sure if I'm not doing something well with the lens but it definitely expands the picture, but not giving a distorted appearance. I looked on eBay for a fisheye lens, I ended up finding a "great 0.42X Angle ", whose photos appeared to show .. fisheye, but I'm not getting the same results with essentially the same lens. I really like to figure this out for attention anyone explain?! =) Thank you!

DSLR dilemma. Canon or Nikon?
I'm about to buy a digital SLR. I'm on a budget and I had my eye on Nikon D5000 is about 629 € with 18-55mm included. I'll also add that a lens Sigma 70-300mm floating around € 159. This makes a total of 788 €. However, I found a package with 2 lenses (18-55mm and 70-300mm) and a Canon 1000D while € 599. Now what do I do? Offer package and the price is great. The Nikon D5000 is 12.1 megapixels, movie mode, screen tilt and Ive heard that the ISO performance is superb in its class. The Canon 1000D has 10 MP. I saw pictures of the sample two, but I can not decide. Any help?
