Why I can not take clear pictures with my lenses?

I have a Canon Rebel XTi. I have not had problems with other objectives, however, the goal I now often take a clear shot so I'm very close to the object / person. I tried the same lens in the store with a test chamber and not done what I'm doing something wrong? It is the Canon EFS 18-55mm. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Is AF switch? Check the switch on the side of the camera. Another possibility is that you have your camera in the first plan. To see if you have activated the button to the flower "icon". If your photos are in focus, but blurry, the camera may be too slow using a shutter speed. Try changing to a higher ISO, flash, or turn the camera around a total exposure (). Hope this helps.
