Canon Lenses Tutorial
Is there a website that can show the effects of different lenses?

I recently received my first digital SLR. It is a Canon 450D. It came with a lens 18-55mm. Mm I do not understand what the measures are for. My friend was thinking of buying a lens for your camera. I think it may have been a 35-70 mm, but surely not. As I would like to see is the same image taken with several different lenses with an explanation of the difference in the image. Do you know of sites that have this kind of explanation simple? Thanks in advance

Here is a simulator of the lens in Nikon's page; http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imaging/lineup/lens/simulator/index.htm Shows what the field of view is different focal length lenses. His camera is a DX body (not full frame) to keep boxes DX fornat said. The slide bar expressed in mm focal length and llittle "transporter" tells the viewing angle to get as zoom in / out.
