Canon Lenses Vs Tamron Lenses
Canon10-22 vs Tamron 10-24?
Just recently went to the camera shop to purchase a UWA lens. I planned on purchasing the Canon 10-22mm, but I walked out with the Tamron 10-24mm. I’m usually faithful to the Canon company, but I felt that this Tamron was a good competitor at a great price.
Yet, I feel a bit iffy with this third company lens. I have yet to really get to know it, but I’m just not sure if I trust this lens…
I just want to know what your input may be towards the comparison between these two lenses. I’ve read several contradicting reviews online and am just not sure. Anyone really knowledgeable with these lenses?
Just wondering if the Canon lens is worth the extra 300 dollars?

Only $300? Oh, yeah, it’s definitely worth it. The Canon handles CA and corner sharpness way better than the Tamron; the difference is almost stunning, especially when compared at wide open.
Plus you know that your Canon lens will be forward compatible with firmware upgrades and future EF-S EOS bodies. That’s not a guarantee with third party lenses as history shows.

Camera sales people will always try to talk you into Sigma, Tokina and Tamron lenses because the margins are much bigger thus they make bigger commissions. I used to work at a Kits Camera and the manager drilled that into our heads.

Tamron 18-270mm vs Canon 18-200mm lens?
I have a Canon EOS T1i DSLR camera body and looking to purchase one of the two lenses, Tamron 18-270mm or Canon 18-200mm lens. Please advice

Most of wide-tele zooms are very bad. Image Quality at the end isn’t good and AF is slow.
