Canon Lenses With Good Bokeh
Good lens for portrait photography for my Canon Rebel XSI?
Okay so I'm investing in a new target. I'm still fairly new to photography, but the kit lens is really not that great and TV, of course, is not appropriate for the portrait. I hope to get something a little versatile, can be used in more than one situation that the people of NO, but I prefer portraits. What specifications should I look for and what are the best lenses this sort of thing? I heard a wide angle would be a good bet. I also want a goal that I can provide good bokeh, and a large f-stop. But still to be affordable. I'm looking to spend about $ 450. But if it's above my price range, well, all suggestions are welcome! Please explain why this objective would be optimal, is a kind of large investment for a student to do. I need something that would be good in low light, by the way, too. Thanks in advance.
When buying lenses that it is best to buy lenses excellent starting point, since their bodies survive. you are more likely to chamge body the camera lens. That being said, there is a cheap lens that every portrait photographer owner (myself included) … F1.8 50mm flower. It is made of plastic crappy but it's great for portraits. 1.8 or 2.8 to get a good background blur while keeping the subject in focus. The best part is … costs only $ 140 Canadian again. Apart from that, I recommend you keep the series in favor of the lenses, as the Canon L-series. They are ridiculously expensive, but are built like tanks and are usually appertures mass (f2.8). I'm getting a 24-70mm f/2.8 ($ 1,500 CAN) and a 70-200 f2.8 ($ 2,500 Canadian) to continue mye Xsi and T1i and when I upgrade to a 5D MKII running smoothly. Most consumer lenses have small appertures little … telephoto consumption level are even worse as the largest apperture changes based on the focal length you are shooting. That's why sometimes fnumber is also a range like f4 – 5.6. For a large apperture when shooting low light or to add a bluriness nice to your origins as its depth of field becomes smaller the larger the lens opening. wide-angle lenses are bad. Them distrort facial proportions. For more about 50mm to keep distortion to a minimum to try to get something in the 30-80 mm range or is able to shoot within range (Or plus / minus one t 24-70 20-108mm or a gift) You, want to give your model a large nose.
Canon Lenses With Good Bokeh

Good lenses to pair with a Canon 550D?
I’m purchasing a Canon 550D body and want to choose a few lenses myself rather than the kit.
Any suggestions for lense/s that fit the following criteria would be helpful:
1. A lens good for shooting in very low light without flash, such as at concerts or parties
2. A lens good for a low depth of field to create some nice bokeh
and also ideas for an all-rounder lens that I could keep on the camera for most of the time.
Also, please suggest anything not just ‘beginner’ lenses. I know because I’m buying an entry level camera it seems I’m a beginner, but I’m actually not – I have a couple of years of DSLR experience, but want some advice from those with more. So please keep that in mind.
Thanks in advance~
For low light you can’t beat a 50mm F1.4 or if you want to save some money a 50mm F1.8. These are great in low light and will give a very shallow depth of field. The 50mm F1.4 will give a more pleasing Bokeh though.
For an all around one size fits all lens the 18-200mm is the best choice. It is not great in low light but will be pretty much the only lens you will need for landscapes to sports.
Other lenses to consider would be 16-35mm F2.8 or 17-40mm F4, 24-70mm F2.8, 70-200mm F2.8 and the EFS 10-22mm.
