Older Canon lenses compliant then?

I have two Canon zoom lens (EF 75-300mm 1:4-5,6 III, EF 80mm 1:3.5-5.6 28 – he bought about 10 years) and I wondered if I could use with a Canon EOS 40D … Does anyone know more?
