Canon Macro Lenses
Canon Macro lens, 60 mm or 100 mm?
I'm getting a macro lens for my Canon 50D soon. I never really use one of these and I love to shoot with the computer handheld, no tripod. Does anyone have any idea whether I'll note for the 100 mm one? or the 60 mm. if any of you have any experience or have used before please leave a comment on macro lenses. Thanks much.
Both are fine but the 100 mm will give you more working distance. Especially if you like shooting restless little creatures. You do not have to be as close as you would with 60 mm. 100mm also operate in the full frame Canon bodies and film. 60mm will not. It is designed for cameras with APS-C sensor size medium and the 50D. Remember that camera lenses last decades do not. If upgraded to a full frame camera five years from now the 100mm will work fine.
