What is the Canon PowerShot A490 camera cd?

I have a mini laptop and will not be able to use the CD that comes with it, what is the cd and there is no way to discharge into the Internet in which the cd? I am thinking of buying this camera, but you need to know about the CD that comes with it, and the camera accepts rechargeable batteries.

You do not need the CD, if you just plug the camera to the computer, the computer will detect the camera and be able to copy the pictures of him very well.
