Canon Powershot A590-IS?

I am thinking of buying this camera. I have read about 100 comments and approximately 95% are very positive. What I like feature is the built in red eye reduction. But I wonder if it really works because Redeyes HATE! Does anyone have any advantages or disadvantages to say about this camera. I need a weekend and really need to be easy to use. He has never owned a digital camera and have little experience with them.

Yes, red-eye removal really works. The A590 can do it automatically every time you take a flash photo, or set it so you can get through a menu and makes the photo. Excellent choice of camera in these ranges. The only negative flash recharge time can be long and sometimes did the video at 20fps instead of 30fps in its predecessor. So if you are going to be shooting a lot of movies, take a look at the A570 on eBay. The only drawback on the A570 is that it has red eye automatically, only manual red eye (through a menu). In the world of point and shoot there is nothing wrong with the Olympus, but I'm not crazy about the specifications of that. Either Canon fine.Go maintain and see how they feel to you.
