can you fix digital camera once there has been water spilled all over it?
i spilled a drink on my canon powershot A630 today, and immediately it stopped working. is there a way to fix this ? i dont have a warranty but im willing to spend if anyone knows how to repair it? any ideas?
That kind of depends on the drink that you spilled on it. You start by saying you spilled water all over it but then later you say you spilled a drink on it.
If all you spilled on it is water, it is possible that you can allow the camera to dry out and it will again work. It wouldn’t hurt to turn a fan on the camera but don’t use a heated fan like a hair dryer. You might just get lucky.
If you spilled anything containing alcohol, sugar, or anything sticky on it, you can pretty much forget about salvaging the camera. I suppose you could send it to a repair shop and have someone take it apart, individually clean each internal camera part, and then put the camera back together, but camera technicians don’t work cheap and if you do it this way you will spend many times the cost of replacing the camera.
Let your camera dry out for, lets say a week to be safe, and if it still doesn’t work, it’s time to buy a new camera.

My digital camera’s flash?
Okay, I have a canon powershot A630 and my flash is messed up. When I have the flash on my pictures come out super dark but, when the flash is turned off they come out just fine but a little fuzzy and it takes forever for the picture to load. I’m using auto by the way, which it’s what I always keep it on. I have reset my camera to its original settings and everything I can think of. Is there some way that I can fix this beside to not use the flash. Because it’s very annoying. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Where are your fingers? Believe it or not, I know of cases where people actually cover the flash with their fingers, so when the camera takes a flash picture, the flash light is blocked by the photographer’s fingers.
A few other pointers:
Turn the ISO up a little. If it’s too low, photos can come out dark.
Also, U can’t light up a huge room with a flash, but U should be able to get good shots of a group of people 3 to 5 feet in front of the camera. The lesson: the location and subject matter can affect the results.
