Canon Powershot Fisheye
What Camera Should I Buy?

I recently discovered another interest, photography. I bought a Canon Powershot SD550, and ive been using it to take pictures of small town band gigs at my local venue. But it got me into taking pictures and id like to have a much better camera for my birthday coming up. Ive been looking around and I cant seem to decide. keep in mind im just beggining this. I want one that can take crisp clear pictures, and lens attachements (exp. Fisheye, wide, tele) but idont really want an SLR, it seems complicated, and thats not a feature i want. I was thinking about the Canon Pro S3 IS, but im not sure. I have a budget of $300 and less. What would you suggest I buy?
What Im getting at, is what do you suggest id use for these small venue gigs to take pictures in flashing lights and dark? ALSO i want it to be able to record video, with as less sound distortion as possible.

I reccomend what I’ve used. A Canon Point & Shoot with a good set of Manual functions. I Love my Powershot A640. But I used a 3.2MP A75 before that, for bands. See www.mypspace.com/picturesdrewtook for examples. I have yet to shoot a band with my A640 but I am confident that it will perform very similarly to my previous camera.
