Canon Powershot Flash Won’t Work
Canon Powershot S3 IS focus problem?
I recently bought an S3 IS, and I've been having problems with image stabilization. Usually what happens is that the image is displayed to be in focus, but when you take it, unfocused and out quickly blurred, or simply will not focus at all. I refer to a problem I use this when outdoors and up close. I played with the settings, I use the flash, and I have shaky hands, but so far nothing has worked. Any help would be much appreciated, because I need the camera to work for my photography class!
As others have said, it can be hard to focus when you are near your subject. There may also be difficult to concentrate when there is little contrast in the colors of the area being photographed. It is difficult for the camera to isolate an object in particular to focus.

What can you do to ensure your holiday photo captures the mood and spirit of your trip? Here are seven tips great photography.
1. If possible, use a tripod. In most cases, a blurred image is the result of the movement. The stands are small and easy to use: some are so small that they designed to transform a bottle of water on a tripod that you can keep in your pocket. Your camera will be balanced, you do not have to worry about traffic and get a picture even better.
2. Pay attention to the light. All photos are reduced to how the camera captures light. Before taking the picture, look to see if the light comes from – unless you try to take a picture of the sketch, do not want to shoot light. Although it was clear, you can use the flash when taking action. If you are outside in the snow, you want to adjust the amount light to the left of the camera (exposure value) to reduce glare picture.
3. Include people in the photos. You may be accustomed to having family photos during the holidays, but when you travel and want to capture the spirit of a place, take a Photos of local people to add more style to your photos.
4. What is your angle? When you take a picture of a famous monument, not only in the center of the photo. Think about the angles, thinking about what may well be able to capture the photo. Other buildings, people, landscape: All these things add to travel photography and leave you a stronger idea of the place – not just a picture of a tower, building or window of the church.
5. Do not avoid the subject of the photo. One would think that if you are farther away you will be able to capture more of the picture. Some extent this is true, but there is no reason to try to put everything in a city, town or a room in a photo. Sometimes it is to approach it is able to get the best picture.
6. Add Photo affected after the injection was made. You can take pictures in black and white wide immediately, but only find maybe better to wait to get home to change the shooting. Most digital cameras are come with a photo editing software, and a number of managers available for free image. When converting to black and white later, you see you can control the depth of color and grayscale.
7. Do not take yourself – or photo – too seriously. Remember candid photos, vaccines to the idiot – as a member of the family "farm" Tower of Pisa – and that you are not alone on the path of files, you also there to have fun.
Thinking of photography and the photos you capture can add much to your vacation. You will see things a little different, and – if you follow the tips above – you will see that your photos do a better job of capturing their memories.
