Is there a downloadable version of software for a Canon powershot A540?

Does anyone know of a downloadable version of the software for a Canon A540? My software drive is messed up, and freezes when it takes disks. The version of the solutions disk is 28.2.

I also have Picasa downloaded on my computer, and I read on another forum that I could just upload my pictures onto picasa without even having to install the canon software, but somewhere in the owners manual it says to not connect the camera to the computer until I install the driver software. Should I just disregard this?

You need to get the driver software, and you can get it from this Canon site:

How Many People Have the American Express Black Card?

In less than a decade, the American Express black card has become so iconic that rap moguls and CEOs alike drop the card’s name as often as they drop the top on their Bentleys. But exactly how exclusive is this credit card? After all, today it seems like anybody that’s somebody seems to have one. Is it still a rarity or just another luxury product that has been watered down for the masses?

The truth the “black card” is still an extremely exclusive card which is unfortunately far out of reach for most of us. However it’s availability has loosened up recently. Previously you had to be invited by American Express in order to qualify for the Centurion. Today, anyone can simply apply… as long as you spend over $250,000 annually on another American Express card you’ve had for at least one year. Initially the annual fee was $1,000 just several years ago, but today runs $2,500. There is also now a one-time initiation fee of a whopping $5,000 just to open the account.

With high fees come high rewards. It’s not uncommon for members to receive free gifts once a year from American Express such as free Canon PowerShot digital cameras or $1,000 gift cards to luxury retailers. The card’s benefits include perks such as a personal concierge who is available via phone to help you handle nearly anything under the sun. Things such as hard to get dinner reservations or sold out concert tickets.

But this all brings us back to the question, how many people out their get to enjoy these benefits? How many people can claim “I am a Centurion cardmember.” Well to be honest, no one can say for sure. Credit Card Forum recently did an interesting study into this by digging into the advertising circulation numbers for the Black Ink magazine – a publication given only to the card members. Based on the circulation numbers, speculation of anywhere from 30,000 to 100,000 cardmembers worldwide, or more. Their full discussion on this can be found on their credit card message board here. The general consensus there seems to appear it’s not as exclusive as some people believe it to be.

The question is what’s next for American Express? Has the Centurion card been oversaturated by the market? Only time will tell. Another exclusive card is already out there known as the Citi Chairman. Will others follow? One thing we can bet on is for American Express to come out with another card, even more exclusive than the Centurion. Maybe they already have, we’ll just have to wait and see…

I want to take a picture if I see bigfoot, nessie, or god. Is a Canon PowerShot SX110 IS a good choice?

Seriously though, I’m looking to buy a PowerShot SX110. Does anyone here own one? Do you like it?

I didn’t post this in the camera section because this forum moves faster.

Yeech. Nessie is too hard. God isn’t very photogenic.

Stick with Big Foot.

I’d go with a Canon Rebel. This bad boy right here. http://codemicro.com/store/check_price.php?partid=3265475

Kiss that blur goodbye.
