Canon Powershot G11 Review
Amateur Photographer seeking help in Camera Options?
I’m just a teen seeking help and reviews about cameras and which ones i should get. Something under $500 would be good but still amazing quality.
I picked out a few cameras already and i just want some “constructive criticism” or reviews about them and if they’re good to start with. If they are what you prefer, would you recommend another camera model, please?
Your answer is so much appreciated, thanks!

Hmm what about shutter frames??
If you look at the size of the sensors on the three cameras, you will see that the Nikon D3000 has a sensor that is over 15 times larger than the two P&S cameras. Add to that, the Nikon can use all the current AF-S lenses made by Nikon … 35 different lenses last count and more coming.
The P&S Canon’s have a fixed lens, the lens you will have to use until you either buy another P&S camera or take the plunge and buy a fully adjustable Camera like the D3000
As you can see on this link, the D3000 out performs the G-10 and G-11 in the four most important aspects of digital cameras
Sensor performance
Colour depth
Dynamic range
Low-light ISO performance

If you look closely you will also see that the camera with the most pixels on the sensor (G-10) has the lowest performance.
If continuous shooting is important, the D3000 is faster.
Canon Powershot G11 Review

If you ask me what the best camera is I would have to say the Canon Power Shot A70 Digital Camera is at the top of the list. I’ve owned mine for over 5 years and without a problem, it definitely is a great little camera with 3.2 Mega pixels and a 3X optical zoom. At the time I bought it, it was the highest rated camera at the time for $400 bucks.
I’ve been searching for a new camera to upgrade the A70 [ It still works fine will keep it for a spare] After months of research and reading reviews there’s 2 camera’s that can live up to my expectations. The first is the Canon Power Shot s51s Digital Camera and the second is the a620. Both are highly rated and very user friendly.
The a620 is compact and lightweight with a new sleeker design offering 7.1 mega pixels…4X optical zoom and the exclusive Digic II processor and a 2-inch LCD screen.
The s51s is also very compact and lightweight and can easily fit in your pocket. Offers 8 mega pixels 12X optical zoom [this is a great feature...you can really zoom up close] and is equipped with the Digic III image processor with a 2.5- inch variable angle LCD screen.
Both of these Canon Power Shot Digital Cameras are in the $350 to $450 range and offer outstanding value. As you might have guessed I’m going to choose the s51s over the a620 because you get nearly 1 mega pixel more and a 2.5-inch LCD. But the main reason was the 12X optical zoom.
I’ve done a review of the s51s and Purchasing a Good Digital Camera doesn’t have to be hard…The Canon s51s is an excellent choice in an 8 mega pixel camera. It offers unsurpassed quality, features and it will meet or exceed your expectations in a Digital Camera. Read part 2…My review Canon s51s The Hottest Digital Camera…Here’s Why.
