Canon Powershot G2-Download Image problem?

I am having trouble downloading photos to your computer. G2 I can connect through the USB port and I back to the camera. Then, the system recognizes that the camera is connected but does not show the camera in My Computer. Do you know what is wrong? I tried to download the software and not work? Is there a problem with the camera or computer? What else I can do? Thanks for the reply.

Buy yourself a card reader. They are very cheap, and generally the best method for uploading, anyway.

Hey Yahoo community, I have a university project, due to a week or so and have photographed involving documentation. I borrowed a digital camera of the school population of AV, but no installation disks. Does anyone know where i can download the software for free?
