camera lens stuck halfway after it fell, help?

my camera is a Canon PowerShot SD400 Digital Camera and I fell with her hand and hit the road, while the goal was open. now it is stuck half way and when I restart it moves to the side and back up and beeps. you can see all the photos and the startup screen that appears when you turn nmormally still there, but does not show the image of real life as if about to take a photo. Is it possible to solve this problem? or impossible.

It is possible that a repair shop can repair, but may cost more to buy a new … while you're at it, buy a new one.

Call Canon and ask what to do. Trying to repair it yourself if you do not know how, could only make it worse. 800-OK-CANON appeal. I'm sure you'll be able to help. Or request an estimate of what it would cost to repair. If dropped, it can be very expensive. Now if this just happened on its own initiative, it can not cost too.
