Canon Powershot Lens Won’t Retract
problem of the lens, also known as the E18 error …?

My Canon G7 fell when the lens is retracted and is not going to re-enter I have looked in online and found that this problem is often referred to as the E18 "error." My camera says "E18", but it says "lens error, restart the camera. "My question is, does anyone know how I can fix it to save a few dollars for myself, or a cheap place to do it for me, but RIGHT. Last time my Powershot SD600 fell, I took it to a camera store at random, and set the target type, but killed all the audio in it, so when recording a video, I could not hear anything. I do not want this to happen again. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Canon Powershot Lens Retract error / black screen?

I have a Canon Powershot SD 1100 IS and lately the lens does not retract or extend more time. The screen is also black, taking pictures, but the menus are displayed, and battery life on the screen. It seems that the internal lens cover does not come, then all the pictures come out black. Is there a way to fix this myself / Has anyone else had a similar problem? Where can I As to if necessary.
