How to increase brand awareness and gain share market with an online video contest!
People like to win free stuff. They also have a passion for online video. Combination these two concepts in a marketing strategy known as the online video contest and end up with an innovative way to attract new customers, retain existing customers and dissemination of information about your company and your products or services.
Companies are now catching the trend video competitions. Determined to get more people to slip on plastic leg and sandals, crocs ™ Philippines recently launched a contest online video called " Crazy4Crocs . "This is an interactive competition Multimedia invites people to express their playful side and fun on YouTube and give them their 30 seconds of fame. To attract people to participate, Crocs will offer prizes, including Canon PowerShot cameras and money.
equipment and software online shop Newegg is also angle Working online video contest, which showed the success of the strategy in 2008. This year, the company invites students to record a short video shows how you could spend the money saved by shopping at Newegg. The videos are then uploaded to the website of the company or a YouTube account. The awards include $ 1,000 $ 5,000 gift certificates, home theater systems, game consoles and camcorders.
The Crocs and Newegg that are using online video contest your benefits surprises Kris Drey, Vice-President of Emeryville, California, streaming video Custom hosting Fliqz . "Now that everyone is at ease to create and watch video Online, we are seeing many companies with more competition for viewers to see and respond, "Drey said." The strategy is used by everyone – from small businesses all the way up to well-known brand companies. "
All these campaigns crowned success. Some do not offer enough of a "reward" for participation, Drey said, while others based on an inconsistency in approaches that lack the necessary planning and implementation. "If you do not end up getting organized a contest out there that do not pull, and that does nothing for your brand, "he said. "With any type of activity of viral marketing you really need to have a plan in place before to put it out there on the Web. "
Set time limits and deadlines is also important, lest you end up with a contest that includes "Everything under the sun" and is ongoing. "Let the participants know they have one week to get your videos submitted, and its files can not exceed a certain size, "advises Drey, who also encourages control messages such as" You have two days to submit your Videos! "To help the participants to push.
Prices are also important and should be impressive enough to get to take cybersurfers their cameras, shoot your video and upload to your site and / or YouTube. "Can not wait to get answers much more if all they offer is a free Microsoft Mouse "Drey said. "If someone is going to take time during the filming and editing video, the price must be something that people are ready to go after. "
Ariel Ozick, CEO of Newark, Delaware based Internet marketing company Wired Rhino agrees, and says the award is probably the most important aspect of a campaign video online successfully. "If you offer a really great price, or a number of them, and based on the interaction and feedback, which will no doubt make many more their video contest to traction, "says Ozick." And do not forget that people also love the glory, and do everything to be famous, if not for a few seconds in a video posted on the website of your company. "
The big brands tend to have the greatest challenges in the development of online video campaigns, especially because it wrapped in their own brands, not realizing that users "do much and are more interested in something that is important for them, "says Ozick. Find ways to integrate the brand with which information or offer, he said, and the competition will have a better chance of success.
Finally, Ozick said that the best contests are created with a specific audience mind, and preferably one that is "integrated and already angry about your business." Crocs carriers, for example, the daily show support for the investment company colors of plastic shoes, why not take an hour or two of their days to get to a video could earn thousands of dollars?
"Unless you work with a huge marketing budget, consider the eyeballs that goes after the competition before you spend time developing and place them on the Web, "advises Ozick." Building a first hearing, and the Institute of competition rules and monitor the results. You may be surprised by the results of this technique of viral marketing very simple. "

camera warranty canon powershot tx1?
Any recommendations about buying a warranty for the Canon Powershot TX1 and if so which one (options from newegg)?
1 Year Extended Service Net Replacement Plan 49.99
More Information2 Year Day 1 Service Net ADH Warranty 79.99
More Information2 Year Extended Service Net Replacement Plan 99.99
More Information3 Year Day 1 Service Net ADH Warranty 99.99
It depends upon your financial situation and how much you use the camera. The camera should come with a standard warranty. Perhaps that may suffice?
I tend to work on the assumption that if a camera is faulty, then the fault will show up very soon after purchase, so I don’t bother with extended warranties, and besides a TX1 is not a hugely expensive camera so it is not going to bankrupt you (hopefully) if it falls apart as soon as the standard warranty expires.
Having said that though, I have had two cameras develop faults at around the time the standard warranty expired. One was a cheapy so it didn’t matter to me, the other was an expensive one, and fortunately was covered.
Another thing you might consider is that the TX1 is already a year old model and like most digital comeras will likely be obsolete before any extended warranty expires.
Good choice of camera though! I really like the TX1. The quality of the MJPEG video is superb.
Cheers.
