The camera does not realize when connected to the computer.?

I recently received a Canon PowerShot A75 for my friend as she got a new camera and I've downloaded all the software, but I can not recognize that its connected to the computer, the computer thinks theres an unknown USB device, but when looking for software through the solution does not achieve anything?? Can someone please help as I am going to Europe soon and want to make video diarys so necessary to download. Thank you.

Go to Best Buy, Walmart oo something like that and get a card reader. They are usually no more than $ 10, and I think, much better than connecting the camera to the computer.

PNY MicroSD I have problems.?

I have a PNY MicroSD Card 2 GB of memory. The problem is that the images will not be recognized by my digital camera (Canon PowerShot A620.) I used for my cell phone (Samsung A767 Propel) and the images that are stored or format. Jpg. Since I do not how to download photos from phone to my computer, I thought it was use the adapter card that comes with the MicroSD card in my camera. Once I put the microSD card into the adapter and the SD slot of the camera, the camera has not been able to read any of the images. What is wrong with the camera or SD card? Is it just faulty or there is something wrong in what I do? What should I do? I prefer not to buy extra cables or devices. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
