Canon Powershot SD450 broken, how to fix?

"E18" appears on the screen. The zoom lens is out it extends about 1 mm; barrel wobble. Aperture does not open at all. Any ideas on how to fix this for less than a replacement can be purchased used on eBay ($ 40)?

not going to happen. mechanisms are so sensitive and precise than any small problem requiring replacement of the lens mechanism. The mechanism will cost more than a camera parts, not to mention the $ 200 + it would cost to have it professionally installed.
