Canon Powershot Sd1100 Is Manual
Canon Powershot delay?
I have a Canon Powershot SD1100 IS, and I have a problem with him taking pictures in manual mode. When in macro mode I hit the button to focus, then press a little harder, and takes the photo. However, when in manual mode, you can press the button and focus, but then I have to hold down the button for 1-2 seconds to make real the image. I just got the camera Saturday, so I have not been adjusted configuration I know of. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I can fix it?
Do you have to flash before taking the picture? It can be lights that flash when you take the photo. Each time you hold the handle on a button will focus then blinks twice, then take the picture. I think the good way is turn the flash off and try again. Most digital point and shoots are the same. Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy PS: this is a good camera:)

How can I edit videos shot on my digital camera?
I have a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS that I have shot several short videos with. I would like to put these videos in a sequence and/or add music to them, preferably with Adobe Premier 6.5, but when I try to import the videos it says they are in an unsupported compression format. According to the camera’s manual they are compressed in to Motion JPEGs. Is there an easy way to convert this to an importable format OR is there another free/cheap editing program (that doesn’t suck) that I could use (PC) OR is there some sort of update I could get for my current editing program to allow it to import this type of file?
Convert the video to a format your video editor can deal with.
I like MPEG StreamClip
