im deciding between 2 cameras,
canon powershot sd1100 is (8mp)
or
canon powershot sd1200 is (10 mp)
which is better?
i heard that the more megapixels the quality can be messed up. im not sure if thats true.
some questions:
which takes better pictures? im not a serious photographer, but i like taking pics with friends and sometimes random cool stuff.
and which takes better video? this is important to me because i really like making videos and im getting this instead of the flip so i want the better video quality one.
do they work with windows movie maker? i cant afford to buy a new video editing software, and i hate converting all my videos, so i need them to be compatible with wmm.

Canon SD1200 is a better choice,newer and better features.Pictures it take are good quality.

but if you need good video I would suggest get Canon SD780is which take 720 HD video

Why wont my computer recognize my camera?
I have a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS. When i connect the camera through the usb chord to my computer it makes a noise as if it is connected but no prompts or notices tell me new hardware is found. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software my camera came with but that dididn’teem to help. Im not sure why it is not recognizing the camera on any photo program I try and pull up with the camera attached. Any suggestions? Thank you!
