can you use a regular digital starter kit 4 canon powershot sd1100 is?

i can’t seem 2 find one 4 the sd1100 n stores and the ones that hav the camera and starter kit r 2 much (on a budget here!;) so can u use a plain kit 4 it?
well n the regular starter kit iz a tripod batteries case and something 2 clean it with. n the 1that goes wit the camera iz a tripod,cleaning stuff 8gb memory card ,case,and the battery that goes wit the camera.

You don’t need a starter kit. The SD1100 IS already comes supplied with a battery and charger.
All you need to buy is a small case to protect it in when not in use…and a fast memory card. I highly recommend either the Sandisk Ultra II (Class 4) or better still, the Sandisk Extreme III (Class 6) in SD or SDHC. When buying a memory card make sure it’s at least a class 4 or Class 6 speed card, not Class 2 (which is too slow).
I recommend you get at the very least, a 4GB SDHC card. 8GB is overkill for everyday general use. Make sure you format it (in the camera Menu) before you use it the first time and when you need to delete all files from it in one go.
If buying a USB card reader make sure it can handle SDHC cards.

Only buy a tripod if you know you’re going to use it…

I am looking for a good digital camera that takes good quality, clear, crisp pictures. A camera with good features, ease of use, and takes good pics inside, outside, day, night, with and without flash. I am considering a Canon Powershot SD1100. Is this a good choice?

The Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS is a very fine Camera. 3X optical zoom, 8 megapixels, has manual controls in addition to auto, and has an image stabilizer. Wise choice, very good camera.
When someone writes that Canon makes a digital SLR that takes blurry pictures, I can assure you they haven’t read owner’s manual or don’t understand it. Canon makes fine cameras.
