This response may be very long so I'll try to be brief. the 770 is more or less an updated 1100. LCD has a better (easier to see) and better battery life. Both devices are very similar to 1100 is an 8 MP camera and 770 is a 10 MP camera, which to be completely honest, I do not have much difference. 1100 comes in different colors, while only 770. Both work very well and I promise you will be satisfied with one of them.
