Canon Powershot Sd990 Is Digital Camera

Im trying to get a digital camera. Should I care about the shutter speed or megapixals?
the two im Looking at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 or the Canon Powershot SD990 IS. The Sony is faster and has a faster shutter speed and ISO, but the gun has more megpixals and great little zoom. The fee is also $ 40 more, but the SDHC card is cheaper than doubled memory device. Ive tried but can not decide. Help! This is just one of its megapixal a difference is worth $ 40?
The cock-megapixel compacts are modern. has more megapixels can affect your image quality by creating more noise, which is particularly noticeable in a compact, and the sensor size is almost as big as a head of a pin. Everywhere in the real world need only 60-10 megapixels. Besides most modern sensors are more or less the same in those days. What is important in the cameras is now the quality goal, for which the two houses must be of comparable quality on the lenses. Have more rapid increases ISO sensitivity of the sensor, thus reducing the duration of exposure, however, greater ISO sensitivity is much louder, and is particularly visible on a small sensor. My friend has this camera and ISO image is useless. Thus, these devices are quite the match closely: the tax has no more useful features, such as longer and give more settings manually. The Sony is almost certainly better built, and is more aesthetically targeted using materials such as magnesium and titanium alloys also make it more durable. I run a Canon EOS300D, but I will recommend the Sony because it is a funky camera with better quality construction, and the only difference you see when you reach the ranks of the SLR, Canon still uses sensors CMOS.
