Canon Powershot Sx110is
Is the Canon SX110IS considered a professional camera?
I’m going to a concert tonight and it says only disposable and digital cameras are allowed.
Mine has about a 2-inch lens when you turn it on, so I don’t think it’s professional.

Pretty much. If your camera has a tripod socket, it will fit any standard tripod. There may be a few proprietary fittings, but I have never seen one. When looking for a tripod the main things you need to be concerned about is weight, size and convenience. basically the larger the camera, the stronger and heavier the tripod you will need, but be sure that it isn’t so big and heavy that you will leave it behind. Even a flimsy shaky tripod is better than the one you leave at home! Take a look at how easy it is to make adjustments to height, tilt, pan etc. Typically, the more expensive the tripod, the smoother and more convenient the adjustments are. The good news is that this is an item that you can usually find on sale this time of the year. Don’t be afraid to take them out of the box and try them out. You might even want to take your camera along to see how it fits on various brands.
