Canon Powershot Underwater Camera
Is the Canon PowerShot SD1000 7.1MP digital camera with a camera under water?
My birthday is in two days and I want this camera, but I was wondering if it is an underwater camera because I have 13 and I do not really understand the technology spechs.
The outside of the box camera is not a underwater camera, but you can buy a special waterproof case for it.

On my canon powershot SD1200, it has a mode called “underwater” but it doesnt say its an underwater camera and I dont really want to test it out in water because if its not underwater, well yeah, itll break. What does the underwater mode mean??
Yes and no. But, mostly NO. Why don’t you have a look in your User Guide…go to the Index (it’s on pages 132-134) and look up…Underwater.
It will direct you to page 54 and then you will see what the Underwater mode is for.
I recommend you read your User Guide thoroughly…and refer to it often if you don’t know what is what, etc.
