12x optical zoom vs. 18x? Or 15x?
Is it worth to get the 18x zoom? Is it important? Specifically, I'm looking for Olympus SP-550 Canon Powershot 1S SP, Kodak Easyshare Z712IS, and the Sony Cybershot DSC-H9
12x Optical Zoom Kodak Easyshare Z712IS is best for certain reason is the 18x zoom is not worth the price, the digital zoom is very nice at the Kodak rechargeable batteries are large and in case of emergency, you can buy two AA charger if you left. (The charger and a battery is around $ 30) SD Card – cheaper and more widely used in Flash memory. Go for a nice 1 GB Hi-Speed: image stabilization and Technology http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=SD-F01GR4W&cat=FLM-chip Kodaks color are excellent. Sony Disadvantages: Memory Stick, software yuck, expensive batteries, heavy, Olympus Disadvantages: xD, not much there to choose not to receive progress of the map. 4 AA batteries (yikes uses heavy!) Canon Disadvantages expensive for what you get, and I hate the menus of your camera
