How I can upload pictures from my camera to my computer?

I have a Canon PowerShot SD1000, and the program to upload the photos is ZoomBrowser EX. I've uploaded images earlier this year, but absolutely nothing works. When I click on connect to acquire images from camera or memory card nothing happens. I connected memory card to my printer but the printer screen said "Memory Card problem." But nothing worked for a different memory card. Yes well is how I've been trying, but eventually I learned.

How about your USB cable that connects the camera to a computer? That's how I always my photos to my computer without problems.

It not true. You can always use Nero to burn all your photos. As long as your copy of Nero is compatible with Windows 98 is all that is needed. That manual trying to say is that Canon ZoomBrowser EX can burn photos if you are on Windows XP.
