Canon Prime Lenses

Canon Rebel XSi EF questions
I do not usually add to the post, but I felt that I must help others decide to buy the Canon Rebel XSi. My situation began in January when I bought the Canon Rebel XSi 09, with 50mm and f1.8 55-250mm IS lens after reading extensive studies on the Internet before buying camera. After receiving the camera and lenses I started to see a focus problem very quickly with the objective kit. So I contacted Amazon and they promptly sent me a new Canon Rebel XSI. When I received this camera used the kit lens on both bodies and both had the same problem when using the AF point of focus. When I used the first is 50 and 55-250mm two cameras with no bodies of these lenses are lost focus point using the center focus.
I've never been in automatic mode Closing or opening long. Each image with the kit lens was very soft and clear focus. Then back to the first Camera Back Amazon for credit and sent the second kit lens Canon for recalibration. When I came back from Canon So I started the process again and did not improve anything, but all were developed with the point center focus or one of nine individual focus points. Then I started experimenting with the camera using the aperture-priority and autofocus center point and I want to use the shutter button half way and then switch to AF Live View and image development, I will focus on live view and will the key each time the scene due to the fact that different methods focus on visualization vivo. This situation is unacceptable.
So When I contacted Canon CS which showed that I was the only person who has had a problem with the Canon Rebel XSi and kit lens. Even after I have the goal back and contacted Canon CS had the same response from me to be the only person with this problem. I still think it was my technique, but I can say that, after 3000 pictures with the camera can not be that bad is not a problem inherent communication between the kit lens and the body of the Canon Rebel XSi period! Canon can say what they want, but after taking the camera with two different professionals all come to the same conclusion.
I know the kit lens is not the quality, but the kit lens should be made the same quality as the company's 55-250mm lens and if not, return to the search for another device and then I am After two months of frustration with the camera. Lack of Canon recognizes the real problem and I was really puzzled resolve. I could send the camera and lens back to Canon, free, and sent me a return label, but my time with Amazon return policy so I had no choice but to return to the second chamber, as I tried. To view images gladly send them. Can contact me via I think this site?

What are the best glasses for the first canon XSI?
I found this goal at amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7JU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1228252109&sr=8 -1 it has some good reviews, what is good for other than portraits? Is it acceptable to not have image stabilization? It looks cheap … Is that means is the problem? Is there a Canon or off the mark that is better than that? Why buy the L series is better? What other good prime lenses? For landscapes? For a close?
If you Pictures, is the ideal goal. For landscapes, you'll need a lens that is 18 mm or least for close-ups, has one of the finest macro Canon. The 60 mm or 100 mm would be a good option. Unless you have no experience with a camera adjustable, you do not need until the target is 100 mm or more.
