Canon Sd790 Is
I’m thinking of getting a Canon Powershot SD790 IS. Which would be a good memory card to capture lots ?

capture lots of pics and nice lengths of video?

The camera can caapture images to SD/SDHC, MMC/MMC Plus/HC MMC Plus memory cards

I don’t know the difference between these. What would be a nice card and card size to get lots of pictures and nice lengthy videos from?

your best bet would be sandisk because they have a lifetime warranty and are top quality.
A 4 or 8 gb card would be good, as I like smaller cards in case something goes bad.
Go with their extreme III series.

Which is the best flash card for Canon SD790?

I bought the Canon SD790 and it has a lot of features, but it has a bit time lag, but then i m thinking it maybe because of my 2 GB SD card. Would it be better if I use SDHC class 6 in that? What is the best possible card for that camera? Thanks.

“Time lag” which is really shutter lag, has nothing to do with your memory card.

Memory cards contain technology that is ahead of most current cameras. For instance there are NO cameras that can fully utilize the 133x memory cards at this time. But if you own one, when the technology IS available, you will not have to buy new cards to take advantage of the newer technology.

Call the Canon help line and ask what they recommend … 800.OK-CANON
