Canon Sd880is
Canon SD880IS or Sony W170?
I've done enough research on digital cameras and I have reduced my choices to the Canon SD880IS and the Sony Cyber Shot W170. It seems that the major difference between the two is that Sony has the fastest time of the shutter. Using the Memory Stick Duo card is a bit of a diversion, however. After the camera uses a SanDisk be much easier for me as my printer has an SD slot, but nothing for Stick Duo and I'm not sure if both can use the same slot. I'm like a tip for people who have used one or both in what would be the best buy. It is one of the two or let a couple hundred more and get a Canon G10.
I would go with the Sony W170. 1. The Sony W170 has a 5x optical zoom longer compared to 4x zoom on the Canon SD880IS 2. After holding the two cameras, the Sony W170 has much better build quality than the Canon SD880IS. 3. I also realized that times focuses a little faster in the W170 of Sony, in comparison with the Canon SD880IS. In the Amazon, Sony W170 is almost $ 50 cheaper than the Canon SD880IS: Sony Cybershot DSCW170 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012XZQGC/?tag=amazon-digital-cameras-20 With the extra money you could get a Memory Stick Duo and a box of the camera! Good luck on your decision! Best) Regards, Dusty
