great video transfer from camera to PC PROBLEM?

I have a Canon SD900 with a memory card of 2 GB. I took a video which occupies 1.49GB and when I try to copy to my computer does not work. The file is "corrupt." Please help! Do not format the card? It works very well for photos and more small video files. Apparently Canon has a problem with your drivers and is a common problem of not being able to transfer large video files. I was hoping that someone has a solution besides buying a card reader?

Test the camera / memory card using small video files .. if you are still receiving "corrupt" files, there may be something seriously wrong with your camera. PS is that the format of the card before each use with the function format in the camera?
