Is Canon SD990IS worth the extra $ $?

SD550 Digital Our current camera is a pretty good I think. My sister asked money to pay, so I'm looking for a replacement. SD990IS is worth the extra money compared to the SD950IS? This SD990IS is so spectacular about anyway? Thank you.
