What would be a good film SLR Canon EOS?

I want a Canon EOS SLR. I try to find a great! I Rebel XS and I love it, but I a film SLR for my backup.

I fear that the latest film cameras I had were a couple of Canon A1 camera `s excellent but modern cameras but Canon does not know they still sell a movie camera
