Equivalent to the Olympus C-5050 lens?
I have an Olympus C-5050 zoom camera around 2003 I think. I love / d this camera and I take great pictures with it, except for one thing. It was painfully slow. Even for its time. These are the specifications of the camera (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/ol … I am very new to the DSLR scene and am learning what I can. I just got a Canon T2i with the kit 18-55mm lens. I also I have a Canon Speedlite 430EX II, which still I'm learning too. This camera is fast and I love it. I use auto modes especially at this time. This kit lens is not the same as the Olympus f1.8 happy little light. Is there an equivalent lens I can get from this camera or something I have to get my camera to do with my current target for the same qualities as the goal I had on Olympus? I used the Olympus to photograph my artwork (usually 18×24 max), macro photography and portraits.
The Olympus C5050 was a f 1.8-2.6 3X optical zoom equivalent to 35-105mm on a film camera. If you want a zoom lens for Canon T2i that has a large aperture and a zoom range similar to the Olympus C5050 you could try the Canon EF 24-70mm f / 2.8 USM L. has a field of view equivalent to 39-112mm on a full frame camera. It's expensive.
