Canon Sx1
Canon SX1 beginner question?
Hello, I am and am turning 17 months next. I was considering the Canon SX10 until I saw the SX1. I used to own a Kodak P & S I took many photos and video. My question is should I spend 600 to get the SX1 due to video recording and newly upgraded HD 1080p 4 fps continuous shotting way? I actually videotaped the cyclists, but also want to take pretty pictures. Or should I continue with the SX10? I always feel like I get overpriced products they do not always need them …. but it is a very nice camera and I probably have it installed, or even college.
This is actually a good (tough) question. This is the video that puts an obstacle at all. You see, for six bills, that's plenty. I think the quality of the picture and all long zoom compact camera is rubbish, I will not put sugar in it. That's in all prices, all brands. They continue to increase pixels with all models but the sensor size is the same (very small) and the quality is going down. The price alone, I'd say in any way. Get a digital SLR. You could get an old XT or XTi uses Canon for about 250-300 U.S. dollars only body that will blow away any or long zoom compact camera. But the video is the thing … It seems that you love and actually use it. dSLR to do video are still scarce and expensive. The SX1 has 1080p, 1080p can you see? Your current TV? Does a powerful enough computer to edit and view 1080p? Can you share or distribution plan of 1080p? I lean toward the SX10 at 200 + dollars less. 599 is just too much in my opinion for something that will deliver photos Medicor. Do not expect much from a compact which is one or two hundred-dollar bills, but six hundred is hard to swallow. D40 Nikon, Sony Alpha DSLR A200 is and cost a little less, but no video. A canon XS dSLR can be had for about that price, but again no video. It would seek a decent deal for $ 250 which makes video and no more, because more money does not get better pictures. Anyway, that's my two cents.
