Do Canon Lenses Work On Nikon Cameras
How do I move point and shoot to D-SLR?

I am currently using a Fujifilm S5700 point and shoot camera, and I'm going up to D-SLR. The camera I have my eye is on a Fujifilm S5 Pro, however, all comments and the information I have seen it say it's a professional camera for professionals as studio and wedding photographers. That's fine, but what is that I'm wondering if it might be too big a step up from a point and shoot at once? I'm tempted by some "beginner" D-SLR like the Nikon D40 or D60 (Nikon rather than Canon lenses as the also work with the Fuji I plan on getting) but then I am actually paying a body that ultimately do not want … Does anyone else have experience of changing to? What do you think? Thank you.

It is a big step forward from the point and shoot, but worth it. S-series digital SLR Fuji have been the best for the studio and portrait work since its introduction (I still own a S2), but are less solid construction of Nikon and Canon, so they are not so good for carrying around, shooting all days. They are ideal can leave 'em inside a tripod. ** Update ** I should have qualified this further. Previous models were based on Nikon N80 body while the S5 is based on the D200, is much more difficult. I recommend a D40 for most jobs. Advances in camera technology Digital is brutal, even beginners, "" models are now technically superior to the pro models from years ago 3. I recommend Ken Rockwell site review for first in the bodies and Nikon lenses tested, almost all of them.
