Ef-S Lenses Canon
Canon EF-S for under £ 200?

Is there any alternative to the disappointing kit lens does not come with my Canon EOS 400D? Would be looking zoom / Macro lens, but can not go more than 200 pounds.

Not the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 for around £ 250, but did not bother me. The lens is a lens provided walkbout, the quality doesn; not be stellar, and certainly the quality of MK2 1918-1955 (supplied with the 400D) was a massive leap in the previous version. If you are spending money on lenses then I suggest you consider extending its range rather than replacing like for like. The only feasible goal within your price is the Sigma 18-55 f3.5. A little better but it would be better to buy a 50mm f1.8 for the same money. If you have to spend € 200 then you could collect royalties 50mm f2.5 macro will outperform their exsisting 50 mm lens and high-quality macro faciliatates. The 55-250 IS is also within the budget if you shop around this will increase its scope and do more for your photography in general, replacing the 18-55 with something very similar. Perevere your exsisting lens for now, his 200 pounds might be better spent. shooting in RAW (on Avenue Q or T RAW mode does not really need much work) and perhaps use the Av mode and stop the lens down to f8 or f11. Compensate with ISO (up to 400) if necessary. I guarantee these two changes we will reassess its purpose and perhaps get a better profit for its cash spent elsewhere. Good luck.
