Ef-S Lenses Vs Ef Lenses
Canon EF-s vs EF lenses?

Ok. So I think that someone in the photo shop told me the wrong thing. I know that if I use a 100mm lens on a Canon EF Rebel Xti, the smaller sensor size effectively make my 100mm lens on a lens 160. Someone told me that the EF-s not have this factor conversion when used with a Canon Rebel XTi I think the person told me something wrong. From my understanding both types of lenses have the conversion factor when used with a Rebel XTi. Now, if I was to use the EF 100 mm on a full-size sensor as the 5D, then I will be 100 mm. And I would not be able to use EF-s in the full-size sensor. Am I correct? Thanks

BigTomz is correct, you still have a conversion factor for both because the size of the lens is the distance from the sensor to the end of the lens (which may be wrong on this point, but that is how I understand it). And they also have reason it will not be able to use EF-s in each full-size camera sensor or 35mm film camera. It is even not allowed to put in it. EF lenses are made of 35 mm and maximum image sensors. EF-s how ever are designed for businesses APS-C sensors and display the image all the way to the edges of a full frame sensor. The conversion factor is a bit difficult. It's not really a zoom factor. Since the sensor is smaller than a piece of 35mm film its more like a crop factor. The lens offers the same size of image capture, but there are fewer because the catch is not as high as wide or normal 35 mm. Like most people print digital and film on the leaves of the same size and compare side by side (ie, 4×6 4×6, 8×10 to 8×10, etc) and digital less enlarged image is, of course, that seems to be the zoom, but its really only be reduced or extended to all intensive purposes. What is the difference? There are two things that comes to mind: 1. House sellers apealling want to sound to the consumer. It sounds better to say "It's like having a zoom and" instead of this huge speall That I am doing now. 2. A true zoom would clear images, while growing and expanding, will have a more smooth. But probably not even notice the difference unless you are flying to their photos big enough.
