First, let me put you mind at ease. There is no "best" digital SLR that income level base. Make sure you stick to a large manufacturer like Canon.

But do not despair. There are cameras choice.

What you do is set you also what are your priorities when you buy a new Digital Rebel.

Oh, I forgot to tell you. But you probably know already. No Rebel X1i … yet.

I have no idea how the camera manufacturers come with their names in the camera but it is certainly confusing, no?

There is a long list of Digital Rebel, starting with the original Digital Rebel 300D. At that time, any combinations of three characters to remember that XSi, or XT1 JQ2. These cards are difficult to mind if you do not have cameras, and that they represent. One thing has remained constant is the numbering system used by Canon. It started with each new Rebel 300D Entry added 50. This was the Digital Rebel 350D, 400D, and now we are on the 500D, which is the T1i.

So this article is really about whether you should buy a 450D or 500D Digital Rebel.

Historically, Canon has added to the Rebel line of cameras every 2 years or more.

Each new entry has been significant improvements over the previous model.

That is, until you reach the last offer, which was published just a year after the previous version.

The result, according to many experts, that the improvement T1i the rebel are not sufficient to justify a person buy the latest model.

Now, there are a couple of good reasons to buy the latest version rebels:

  1. You buy your first digital SLR, and you do not want the new model, you can get.
  2. Do you want a digital SLR to capture video.
  3. Money is not a problem for you, and you just want a camera Safety decent.

I checked with some reliable sources to conclude that the earlier version the Digital Rebel (the XSi) is very reliable, well featured digital camera that takes pictures that are considered among the best at this level and range price.

There are some differences that I quote:

  • 12.2 vs. 15.1 megapixels megapixels (Not at all significant account Given the possibility of printing large pictures of super fine)
  • DIGIC 4 vs DIGIC III (as DIGIC 4 is preferable, unless is a pixel prude, you will not be able to make a difference)
  • 3 "LCD with a resolution of about 930,000 pixels vs 3: Screen LCD display with a resolution of 230,000 pixels (although this seems to be important, what you see on the LCD screen does not lead to a decision purchase)
  • Creative Auto mode is only available in the new model (it is a way to alter the outcome of the camera, adding that "Filter Gallery" – Some comments said that the output is not compatible … I prefer to make these changes in Photoshop or another word processor)
  • Capturing video is available only in the last model (although this may be a deciding factor for you, examinations have mixed feelings about the video capabilities, including the lack of a good sound recorder)

Well, that sounds like I am totally against the Digital Rebel T1i.

Not at all.

I think both cameras would be an adjustment Perfect for anyone, except as an amateur or professional photographer.

Digital Rebels have always given their own fantasy image. Mine certainly does. And these two cameras are no different. Both are highly recommended.

Hopefully you are better informed now than you were. Buying a new camera has always been an exciting venture for me. There are so many techy options and features that the pro reviewers look at. But in my opinion, it all boils down to this – will the camera do what you want it to do.

In this case, either the Rebel XSi or T1i will. There is more info HERE, including product pictures and features.

I am also an amateur photographer. You can see some examples of my photography at http://www.thewayeyeseeit.net. Many of the pictures displayed are taken with a Rebel.
