Eos 5d Mark Iii
What professional digital SLR camera should I buy?

I'm in the air between these two: Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III Canon EOS 5D Mark II

If I do a lot of photographs, location in extreme conditions, go with 1Ds – solid construction, longer battery life, and faster and accurate AF (we're talking fractions here). Suitable for shooting into a dark, damp and very caves, war zones, the arctic circle. The disadvantage great is that is heavy and becomes annoying after 2 hours. If you shoot in a controlled condition and the last word, the 5D would be my choice. Suitable for shooting wedding, fashion, features, in my opinion. Image quality-wise, can not go wrong with either. If you do not harvest a lot, 10.8 megapixels is enough.

Sony A900 Digital SLR Camera

hen the A900 was launched last week, Sony has finally fulfilled the promise they indeed been very (very) serious about the digital SLR market. Directed professional photographer a semi-professional (but also are concerned! "), the 24 megapixel full-frame sensor camera studio camera and screams can be clearly seen as an affordable alternative Canon 1Ds Mark III (although Sony's engineers claim real competition is the EOS 5D). For $ 3,000, many photographers, without the reins of a true professional is the monstrous resolution A900 impossible to resist.

We still have to wait a few actual observations better idea of the aircraft's performance, but on the basis extracts and hands on experiences of many principles provide a number of things are clear:

* Sony hit a homerun with the viewfinder the A900 is. It has a coverage of 100% and the early word is bright and strong vision it offers is a step above the competitors. They could have saved here but did not.
* Level of Pro Construction: Alloy magnesium frame and the total time of closure are virtual requirements in a professional level. Also, Sony does not offer time sealed lenses. To corrected soon I guess.
* Intelligent preview is useful, but far from perfect. Overview of the effect of different settings the device in a RAW file limited, it may seem useful, but we can not help thinking that a full Live would be even more useful (see Panasonic G1). In addition, it does not come to see the emphasis placed on the A900.
* The A900 is capable of amazing picture quality. 24 megapixels 35 mm sensor size is equal to 4032 x 6048 size photo! It is an impressive amount of detail, and most of the early previews are quick to forget that IQ is opposed to the more expensive Canon 1Ds Mark III, at least at low ISO. The A900 will not compete with the Nikon D3 or D700 in terms of management noise at ISO ridiculously high, but there is no intention to. However, ISO performance is still impressive and Sony now choose to allow photographers to switch off the camera NR, the results of the High ISO sensitivity is likely to be even more impressive.

Nikon D3 coverage?

I just got the Pop Photo magazine again a minute ago, and left a sign of the new Nikon D3 and D300 in any splendor. I hate when companies do, and this only make me want more. I went with the Canon EOS 5D, the 1Ds Mark III, the Pentax K10D and now the D3. Nobody feel this way? Addicted to the camera equipment? I'm a nut Niko?

Yes, yes, yes, the photographer and camera. I told myself. Often. But when they show a 20×30 print that could rival a copy of the film, it is difficult not D3 want to! I still remember the first I saw a picture of the D200. I was "commercial" yeah, but seeing the resolution Image of the deal for me. He took a picture and I was hooked! In fact always have, so I made a little compost to show. Copyright, I am sure, so I chopped up beyond any use to anyone. Check this out. Click "All sizes." Download and apply a little unsharp mask.
