Canon or Nikon DSLR? Which is better?

Hi guys. I'm an amateur photographer. But currently I'm using Nikon D700 + Tokina 12-24mm f / 4 + SB-600. I'm thinking of leaving the boat or change the system from Canon. This is because many of my friends have switched to Canon. Even my teacher uses Canon. I was thinking get EOS 7D or 5D MKII. The thing is, if I go through 7D, the body could only grip the battery canon and the canon 70-200mm f / 2.8 IS I. Whereas if I go to 5D MK II. I will probably have 50 mm and 430 EX flash only. Any suggestions? I've been thinking all day to leave the ship. But I prefer the set 7D. O yes! Before I forget, my buds if photographer, wildlife such as weddings, concerts, etc. So guys, hit!

The wildlife at a wedding – I love the idea! Equipmentwise, what is the real motivation for change, apart from wanting to follow the herd, and possibly want to ask the occasiionally lenses? Will it change really affect your photos for the better? Canon and Nikon are excellent brands, and presumably you've had good service from your D700.
