What are the chances of camera prices coming down before Xmas?

I am looking to buy a Canon EOS 7D before Xmas. I want to buy a USA model (not direct import or gray market), with Manufacturer Warranty, and want to make sure that it is boxed in a factory sealed box, not a returned merchandise, or referbished, and I want to buy it from a Canon Authorized Reseller. And I also want to buy it on line from dealers like B&H or Amazon. This way, I don’t have to pay sales tax, and B&H also ships it free.

With Canon, prices coming down? I doubt that will happen. My experience with Canon I was about to purchase the Canon SX10 IS camera. I heard the SX20 IS was coming out the next month. Well in the past when a older model is replaced with a newer model the older model drops in price. But Canon did not do that, Canon raised the price $50 of the older model to match that of the newer model. The older model camera never came down in price. The older model was eventually sold out and just the newer model remained.

Frustrating ,……………….eh?

if i buy a canon eos 7d in usa will it charge ok back here in uk?

Yes, you’ll just need a US/UK adapter plug. You will not have a warranty, so it is not worth the saving.
