Eos 7d Weatherproof
Canon 7D, Canon EOS 60D or Sony SLT A55, which one is better for shooting movies?
and what is the best editing software? Thank you. and what is the weatherproofing? I read the Sony doesn’t have it. Does it make a difference?
Hey,
Weatherproof body means it’s less likely that anything is going to wrong with your camera when it rains. 7D and 60D are professional bodies, A55 is not.
Canon eOS 60D and 7D have the same sensor, so they have the same image quality, noise performance and video – which is Full HD at 24/25/30fps and HD at 50/60fps. Sony A55 is not that good.
I recommend you to go with 60D or T2i (which is a smaller 60D).

Now, most monitors display a screen resolution of 96ppi (pixels per inch) and the most common sizes are 1024×768 pixels or higher screen. Therefore, if you want a image to fill half the screen on a 1024×768 screen width should be 612 pixels. This would produce an image a little over six inches width of the screen.
So, change the size of our image (and keep a copy!) To 612 pixels wide. Now, we apply USM. Because this image is only intended to be viewed on a computer screen just use your eyes to determine the amount of sharpening. Set the preview USM verified visually.
