Nikon Vs Canon Digital Slr Reviews
What digital SLR camera, Nikon or Canon?

I reduced my choice to two cameras. The Nikon D80 and Canon EOS XSi Rebal .. Both are similar in price. I'm not a professional photographer, just want to take good photographs. I like the fact that Canon has Live View 3 "LCD and Nikon has a 2.5 "not seen in vivo. Canon mp mp 10.2 12.2 vs Nikon (although this is not important for me). The Nikon was the highest score in Consumer Reports (Can not find a review of the Canon). Can anyone give me some advice one way or another. Reliability?

I would go with the xsi, because as has been you think that others get more for your money. The xsi at 0.5 fps faster than the d80 if that makes a difference. Canon also has much more to offer in terms accessories, and there are plenty of good books out there specifically to xsi that could help you, it also appears to be easier to find xsi others that have it as is selling better now dslr. I have a xsi, easy to use and light in terms of digital SLRs, maybe that's a problem for some, but I seems that when I am hiking its nice not to have the extra weight that most other DSLRs. Can be used in full automatic mode, but has all the settings want once you learn more about photography. The xsi is also cheaper, so the money saved can go into a bag or an extra battery. Probably would be happy with anyone, just to see how they feel in their hands, read some reviews and choose what you personally feel most comfortable with.
